Scissor Lift Hire

7 Metre Range

Scissor Lifts are the ideal equipment for gaining access to places a ladder can't reach or would be unsafe to use. We use strictly electric-powered scissor lifts so that they can be used in enclosed spaces without endangering our clients. They can be easily recharged after each use meaning no wasted money on fuel costs.

They come mounted on trailers for easy transport. We can also deliver all around Perth if you don't have the means to tow them yourself.

We currently hire out the Haulotte Optimum 8 model scissor, which can reach up to 7.77mm.

Scissor Lift Hire

Reaching high places is not as difficult as it might seem at first inspection. There are many options available, such as ladders, scaffolding, scissor lifts and knuckle booms. Each option has its ideal application. You wouldn't usually use scaffolding when replacing bulbs in street lamps, for example. For this particular job, a scissor lift would be the perfect tool. Read on to find out about the benefits of scissor lift hire.

Benefits Of A Scissor Lift

Suppose the work to be done falls within the specifications of a scissor lift. In that case, there is little additional benefit to be gained from using any other means for vertical mobility.

  • A scissor lift requires only as much clearance as its footprint, unlike knuckle and straight booms, which need some elbow room to lift the basket into position. This benefit is achieved by the lift mechanism's pantograph action, which actually attains a smaller occupational area as the platform is raised.

  • Safety features are built into the scissor mechanism to prevent it from collapsing should the hydraulic or electrical system experience a failure, also allowing for its controlled, gradual collapse in such an event.

  • Scissor lifts are excellent for work in busy environments, as their small size will not overly restrict traffic. At the same time, the movement of the lift being restricted to vertical only means that there is no threat of hitting walls, cars or bystanders with a swinging boom.

The Scissor Lift For Hire From Evale Group

The scissor lift available from us is the well-regarded Haulotte Optimum 8, which can do everything one expects from a scissor lift. It comes on its own trailer for easy transport to and from the worksite and is fully insured, thereby ensuring absolute worry-free usage all day long.

  • The footprint dimensions of the Optimum 8 is a frugal 1.72 metres by 0.79 metres, with an unloaded weight of 1590 kilograms. Its small size means that the little scissor lift can be manoeuvred into almost any tight spot between buildings or even inside a workshop without necessitating clearing a path.

  • Fully extended, the Optimum 8 has an impressive working height of 7.7 metres, with the platform then raised 5.77 metres above the ground. The maximum weight it can lift is 230 kilograms, which is more than enough for one person and all the tools and parts required for the job at maximum height.

  • The Optimum 8 is fully electrical and controlled via a panel on the platform. Because of this, the tradesperson is in complete control of the height and movement of the scissor lift and can easily reposition the lift according to working requirements.
